Ireland's Eye, Co Dublin

Ireland's Eye, Co Dublin - Dublin's Wild Landscape
Safely protecting the entrance to Howth Harbour from icy easterlies, "Ireland's Eye" is named from Viking Norse: "Erin's Ey" - "Erin's Island".

The island is seabird sanctuary, with Ireland's newest colony of gannets that can often be seen sky-diving off the North Dublin coast.

It is serviced by boat from Howth Harbour for day trips during summer months.
